How it works
We make donating your simcha’s surplus easy
Step 1
Tell your caterer
Tell your caterer you'd like to donate the surplus food to Bubby's Kitchen
Step 2
They will pack it in one of our fridges
Your caterer packs the food into any of our fridges in shuls and venues across the Five Towns & Far Rockaway.
Step 3
They scan the qr code on the fridge
One scan on the fridge door tells our team food is waiting and ready for pickup.
Step 4
We pick up & deliver
Within 12 hours, our team collects the food, repackages it, and delivers meals to families in our community.

If your family needs meals
We work with families across the Five Towns and Far Rockaway who could use extra meals during the week. No application interview. No in-person meeting. No follow-up forms. If you fill out a short request, we'll WhatsApp you within 48 hours and figure out the rest together. Everything you share stays private.
Discrete BAGS
Deliveries arrive in bags donated by local eateries. Nothing about them says Bubby's Kitchen.
NO INCOME BRACKETS
We don't ask what you earn. If extra meals would help your family this week, we at Bubby’s Kitchen are happy to help.
Able to help with a pickup or delivery?
We need your help with two things: picking up surplus food from families hosting a simcha at home, and delivering meals to families in our community who've requested them. Even one pickup or delivery a week makes a real difference. If you are able to help we'd love to have you on the team.

About Bubby’s Kitchen
What began in August 2025 with one person repackaging a few meals from his home has grown into a movement. Today, Bubby’s Kitchen serves over 1000 meals every week.
Bubby’s Kitchen rescues excess food from simchas and distributes it to families in need. No one should go hungry in our community. With your support, Bubby’s Kitchen brings comfort, dignity, and meals to hundreds of neighbors each week.
